Rocky Tarn Oasis is an oasis landmark in the Woodland biome.
Overview[ | ]
This oasis is located around the middle point of the map. Steep cliffs rising up on the west side with steep cliffs dropping down on the east side. Large pond to fish and drink from, fed from a waterfall.
Food is plentiful, lots of stones, wood and other resources are readily available and the area is safe from attack (except for the stalker cat). This place marks a great place to establish a 
settlement.

When you discover this oasis, it triggers two 
Meteorites.

Tourmaline can be found nearby, within a small cave below the oasis.

The Golden Machairodus has been known to spawn here, seemingly from nowhere and often right behind you as you are leaving. Not very often though and doesn't devalue this great oasis as a settlement prospect.
