Mud is a tool item and medicine.
Where to obtain[ | ]
Mud can be found at small patches on the ground in all biomes. However, it becomes more rare once you reach the 
Savanna and beyond.
Mud can also sometimes be found under 
Liftable Rocks.

grabbed from specific patches of wet ground.

Applying Mud
Mud can be applied to heal 
Bleeding and 
Heat.
Mud can also be used for protection against bleeding, detection, and heat. Applying Mud will will confer 
Bleeding Protection, 
Camouflage Protection, and 
Heat Protection.
Be aware that the Order Mimic action will not always work when grabbing mud from the ground. None to some to perhaps all of your clan might mimic the action of grabbing mud so take this into account when using this action. This might require switching hominids to grab the needed mud.
